Reverend Bob Riggs
inTeNTIONAL INTERIM MINISTER
Pastor Bob Riggs is our Intentional Interim Pastor. He and his wife, Lynne reside in Carson City and have been married for 42 years. They have two daughters, and a son and daughter-in-law as well as two grandchildren in preschool.
Having been trained in Intentional Interim Ministry, he has served in this role at four churches in Michigan since 2018. He is grateful for how he and his wife have been able to contribute to the ministry in those congregations during their time between long-term pastors: the interim.
An avid fan of Detroit sports teams—especially the Detroit Tigers, Pastor Bob has stayed true to being a fan of the “Maize & Blue” (even during his ministry years in Ohio!) His wife Lynne always has had a passion for quilting for Lutheran World Relief and still leads a quilting ministry in Carson City which is supported by the community. The last Friday of the months of January-September are day-long sessions of quilt assembly and Pastor Bob enjoys helping to serve lunch on those days.
Pastor Bob feels it an honor to share God’s Word and Sacrament with His people. We are all so in need of God’s forgiveness, guidance, and peace. Pastor Bob looks forward to sharing God’s gifts with you during his interim here at St. Martin.
He and Lynne join you in praying for the future long-term pastor at St. Martin Lutheran Church here in Birch Run, Michigan. He is also praying for God’s blessing on the ministry we offer to the Lord today, during this interim time before our next long-term pastor arrives to serve the Lord here.
St. Martin warmly welcomes you, Pastor Bob, and we thank you for all you have done here so far!
